The version of dd (dc3dd) that is being used in the current OSFClone release already includes handling of bad sectors.
When error recovery is enabled (enabled by default), dc3dd seeks back to the beginning of the block and attempts to read each sector individually. Good sectors are acquired and bad sectors are replaced with zeros.
So I am thinking that ddrescue isn't going to recover significantly more?
