  • Searching Index crashes OSForensics

I'm testing out OSForensics, and I noticed that the application frequently crashes in the Search Index interface. Specifically when switching between the various tabs to examine the different file types. My index is currently 2.25 GB for a 120 GB evidence image. Using version Beta 0.99H (64-bit).

This is the only time the application is crashing for me. Any insights into why?

How much RAM is in your machine?

What is the exact crash message. If you could E-mail us a screen shot that would be great.

    Can you try beta 0.99i
    http://www.osforensics.com/whatsnew.html

We have a couple of know bugs in 0.99i, that have been fixed for 0.99j (released in a few days from now). But none of them occur just as a result of switching tabs.

If 0.99i this doesn't fix the problem, get back to me an we can send you a debug build, or try and get a copy of your index in order to replicate the problem.
