Does OSFMount support the mounting of a compressed img file? (e.g. img.xz)

I've found that when I try to mount a backup that I have compressed with xz that it doesn't like to work. Is it just not supported?

I don't even know what XZ is.
I assume some variation of GZip. But no it isn't supported.

Does it support any compressed img variant then?

Supported file formats can be found on this page
        https://www.osforensics.com/tools/mo...sk-images.html

Several of them support compression, e.g AFF and E01.
E01 is the most popular format for forensics.
