Pretty sure Windows doesn't allow device drivers to load from removable drives.
(this would crash the Windows kernel if some portion of the kernel was running on a drive that gets removed, so it makes sense)
So I don't think a truly portable version of any mounting software is required.
Of course we could copy the drive to the Windows system folder first, but how is this different from doing a normal install?

I appreciate the OSFmount tool.
Unfortunately it is not portable. I cannot run it from USB flash drive on other computers.
Can a portable package be added for download too.
A portable package should be possible since e.g. another, similar tool ImgDrive freely available, can load necessary drivers on demand:
