Soundcheck good, still no youtube

Hi, I just tried soundcheck because I am getting no audio all of a sudden on vista.
This program is great, gave me a good tone from the speakers, but nothing else works as far as sound goes on the puter!
Any ideas?
One theory, I kept getting a message to authenticate my vista, because I am using my copy on 2 computers. It said it may stop working, and I waited too long to put in the reg code.
Could that be the problem?

I am not aware of any function whereby Windows disabling sound when authentication is not done. Maybe it is just the Windows sound mixer settings. Maybe you have video sound level turned down.
