Does SMART Monitore the Virtual Hard Disk.

Hi,
I have Created a Virtual Machines & I would like to know, whether SMART Monitoring System Will Monitor the SMART Attributes of the same. The Hard disk full fill the pre-quiste of SMART.. Please let me know as its urgent,

SMART only applies to real physical drives.
Virtual drives are in fact just normal files in the file system. So SMART doesn't apply.
