It'd be fantastic if DiskCheckup could run as a service. The ability to exclude certain disks would also be great. Those features would make it useful as a predictive drive failure notification system across many machines. I'd be happy to pay for the software for that use case.

I think it would be at least several days of work to split the user interface from the data collection code, then test it and document it. Maybe $5K in development costs.
But at the moment our income from this software is $0 as we offer it as a free package. I assume your offer to pay, means pay ~$20. Not $5K?
I should also note that many failure types can't really be predicted. Either they are sudden with no warning or not a linear gradual failure.
