I am currently looking for a app that will log each time that the laptop is plugged in and unplugged and for how long. Does this app have that ability??

The log file generated by BatteryMon is not all that detailed at the moment. It records the date, time, % battery charge & total battery time remaining. It wouldn't be too hard to add what you want however if you wanted to consider custom software development (i.e. pay us to develop exactly what you want).
