not sure how reported performance of the AMD Phenom II X6 1055t is CPU score of 5185, because I'm only getting about 1550 CPU rating with overall rating of about 430. What motherboard and config is used to get that 5185. Could be a problem with my motherboard MSI 785GTM-E45. MSI motherboards seem a little week and MSI gives lousy customer support. The benchmark reports clock rate as 800 MHz with multiplier of 4, even though I set multiplier to 14 in BIOS. Somebody on another forum indicated that the Cool and Quiet feature causes the 800 MHz clock setting when it is idle, but I disabled Cool and Quiet and it still reports it as 800 MHz. I also have just a single 4GB DDR2 DIMM (single channel) on the Mobo. So the Memory rating is a little low as well, but should not be that significant to the CPU, I'm guessing. I have this running with Windows 7 64bit.

If your CPU Mark figure is 1550 then there is something wrong with your PC.
The 5185 result is an average of about 1000 different PC's with the 1055T CPU inside.
The 1055T should give a CPU Mark of close to the average.
The memory speed results are also CPU dependant to some extent.
See this FAQ to start with,
Causes and Solutions for a slow PC
But also check your BIOS settings again. The 1055T should be running at 2.6Ghz. Not 800Mhz. The default (auto) settings in BIOS should be OK.

you're right. I finally got the attention of the MSI customer service and after sending them screen dumps and photos of the BIOS values, they actually have a new BIOS version (8.6 and then 8.7) to address this problem. I flashed the BIOS using their quick LiveUpdate4 utility and now get a CPU rating of about 4400 in 32 bit Windows XP. When I get a chance, I'll run it in 64 bit windows 7 which should be a little faster.Last edited by mike4passmark; Nov-02-2010, 07:54 PM.
