GeForce GTX 470 vs Intel HD Graphics 3000

Ok I been trying to find out how the new i7-2600k ranks in video performance as I am tiring to build a video editing system.
I was previously considering a i7-950 with a GeForce GTX 470 card but then I seen the new i7-2600k has a intergraded graphics with a 850MHz with upto 1350MHz in turbo mode and is supposed to have accelerations for rendering.
Currently he have Sony Vegas 10 HD Suite that we will be using.
How will the GeForce GTX 470 and the Intel HD Graphics 3000 compare?

The only real way to know how Sony Vegas 10 HD Suite will perform on these 2 cards is to test this exact software and version on both machines.

I don't know if Sony has released support as yet for the new Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) CPU instructions and "Quick Sync Video transcoder engine" that are in the Intel i7-2600k. If Quick Sync support is available for Vegas then it should perform very well on the i7-2600k.
