Performance wise, most reviews show games and benchmarks where Fury (plus FuryX and R9 Nano) GPUs are better performers than gtx980, especially at higher resolutions.
On our tests the GTX980 is slightly faster.
But given they are close it is to be expected that results would be different with some games, with some settings.
