    Will running passmark damage my OCZ SSD
    And whats a solid passmark score for lets say playing BF3
    And I just ran my test and with the latest driver for my sapphire hd6950 2gig gddr5 I have 2 of them my 2d graphics mark went down 77.8% from 564 to 318 all other marks were good can a update change this

    All SSD's have a limit to the number of writes you can do to the drive. So just turning on your machine will decease the life of your drive.

    Anything above 5000 is a seriously fast PC.

    I think around 1000 for the overall PassMark rating would be a min required for a reasonable BF3 experience. 1500 - 2000 + would be better, of course.

      What do you think happend with the drop of the 2d graphics mark
      The only change with the pc was the driver update the old driver update was from ATI and the new one is from AMD
      passmark rating was 3482 now its 2682

        Actually this is a 43% drop. But a drop nonetheless.

        Ideally you would run the test a few times before and after to make sure there is some one off effect, like a background task running.

        Wouldn't be the first time that driver versions have have a series impact on 2D performance.
