Power Supply

hi,
I have a 1life ps:jet 500w psu, it was the cheapest one i could get.
Now i want to replace it, but i want to know if that psu could cause, or already could have caused any damage to other components.
I will need to keep that psu for another two weeks.
The psu is new, bougth in 5 february.

In theory is it possible for a bad power supply to damage components. It would need to be pretty bad however.
As to if this has actually happened it is impossible to know based on the information provided.
If the PSU is bad (but new) then you return it.
