I have eight guys ahead of me
Maybe, but a couple of them might be from the some person. Either with several machines or several different IP addresses (so the duplication isn't so obvious). But there are definitely a number of people with higher scores.

There will be a free upgrade to V8 for anyone who purchased V7 in the 6 months before the release of V8. I would be extremely surprised if we didn't have V8 released in the next 6 months.

Yes, if you play with the overclocking settings after launching PT, then I would expect the overclocking not be picked up in V7. But the latest V7 release is now pretty good at detecting Overclocking from BIOS.

Thank you very much for your time and information! The guy with a 13656 that's BOSS! I have eight guys ahead of me. Thank you for the information.

I understand it's very hard to track everything because of the high level of traffic, I just wanted to help free up room. I read in the notes that you were working up a way for better overclock detection, with a tentative release of the technology on par with the release of Performance Test v8.0. Your software will detect my overclock if I tune the frequency in BIOS and boot into Windows, but if I use the software that comes with my motherboard (AI Suite), it will not detect the overclock. I'm not complaining I just want to give you information. Thanks again for your reply and for everything!

My final question is: If I purchase a license for Performance Test v7.0 will I be permitted to upgrade to v8.0 upon Beta or Final Release?

    Thanks again!

At the moment (7/May/12) there are 988 baseline files for the 2770K. Only 425 of these are included in the CPUMark average. Most of the rest have been overclocked.

    The average CPUMark is,
9,365 and 96.24% of the results are from 64bit Operating systems.

The top ten 2700K results at the moment are,

    Baseline Name CPUMark
    Asus Maximus IV Gene Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3501 13224
    Christian Walz Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3501 13249
    2011_CIARA_KRONOS_S8 Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3501 13276
    TrimAir Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3512 13376
    Generic Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3675 13391
    NewAir01 Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3606 13437
    Generic Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3511 13441
    Generic Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3501 13476
    Asus P8P67 Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3524 13541
    AirRide Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz 3607 13656

From time to time, we try and delete duplicate entries that have come from the same machine. But given we are over half a million baselines it gets hard to match up machines with a high level of accuracy.

No short terms plans to change the way the Top 20 list is populated.

Quick Question to David (PassMark Admin)

Hello! First of all I would like to thank you for everything that this website provides. I read on the forum a few weeks ago where you helped someone asking about "the 11,000 club" for a specific CPU model, and really would like to request information on the i7-2700k if you have the time. I would really appreciate it! I also have three other items I would like to bring to your attention. Thank you!

    1) Can you help me on where I stand against the i7-2700k Benchmarks? I consistently score above 13,000 but I BSOD out before I finish the run. Tonight, I made it all the way through a run at 5.1GHz (On Water) with a VCore of 1.512. The score submitted for the CPU Benchmark is 13,249.0. I'm certain there are people with the 2700k ahead of me...I was just curious where I stood. Thank you very much for this!

    2) I finally managed to reclaim my spot on the top ten (assuming no one else beat me today) and I will show on the chart tomorrow with a score of 7,698.5. I am already on the chart twice and that isn't fair to other Enthusiasts that are trying to get on there. I know it isn't your fault, and I know how you feel about I need to report to you that I will be kicking myself out of 20th Place (Was 9th Place before Intel Launched Sandy Bridge-E, gotta love technology), I am currently on the chart again at 13th Place (Score 7565.59, 29 April 2012), and like I reported earlier I will be in 10th. Please remove me from what will be 14th place after you update the charts so it is more fair to others if you see fit.

    3) While on the subject of fairness...I understand the point to push the system to the bleeding edge and doing suicide runs with blatant disregard for components...but these guys with two physical CPU's...It's insanity man. Are there any plans to have a "Systems with Multiple CPU's" top 20 list in the future or will it remain how it is? I apologize in advance if I sound like a little girl- I just wanted to ask and will respect whatever you decide.

    4) I was going to ask something else, but I'll just say thank you again for everything!
