  • I have an AMD A6-3620 how do I know if it has AMD-V for virtualization

hi all, I am trying to setup a virtual machine using virtual box. when I try to start the virtual machine I get error "amd-v is disabled in the bios" I checked the bios did not see option or anything that said amd-v? I did a run command on the desktop msinfo32 and my bios ver is showing AMI 7.16, 1/18/2012 I,m guessing that is the latest bios. I checked internet for something that will tell me if I have the latest bios no luck and how to turn on virtualization if off no luck. help. anybody else running vm having this issue?

more info about pc quad core, 8gigs of ram.

I did a search on Google for you.
Yes, the A6-3620 does support AMD-V (virtualization) technology.
The option in BIOS might be named something other than AMD-V. So don't just look for AMD-V. Check with the manufacturer of the motherboard to see what the latest BIOS is.
