    Hello all.

    I have done as much research as is possible for someone with no computer background. I am currently buying this pre built system...

    http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11761468&whse=BC&Ne=5000001+40 00000&eCat=BC|84|56671&N=4047237%204294906302&Mo=2 &No=2&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc 1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&topnav=

    (sorry for the length of the link.)

    To complete the system I am purchasing http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139021 and then a video card.

    So my question(s) is this. Considering my budget (roughly 1200 USD) I can purchase either the gtx 560 ti-448 or gtx 570 for intel or the AMD HD7850.

    I have researched enough (from my naive perspective) to know the cards, but I wanted to solicit this sites opinion for which card should I get.

    Use is going to be for gaming of course, but it is MORE IMPORTANT to note, that I want a system I have to do minimal upgrades to for the next 5 - 8 years.

    Any reply would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Is exactly what I'm looking at.

      Doesn't make sense to me to buy a prebuilt system, then immediately replace the power supply and add a video card. I would be tempted to either find a prebuilt system that matched what you wanted, or just buy the parts and assemble the system yourself.

      I would take the AMD HD7850 over the gtx 570, as it is a new generation of cards. So performance is similar, but power usage, heat and noise are less.
