What is better? Ryzen 5 1500X or new-i3-8350K or i5-8400?

Hello My Friends!

I have a question - I am buying new processor to 230$ max. I found that to this price I can buy one of these three processors:

- AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
- Intel Core i3-8350K
- Intel Core i5-8400

What processor is the best? I read some informations that i3-8350K is 35% faster than Ryzen 5 1500X and i3-8350K is also 7% faster than i5-8400! Is that true?

I am buying new processor at 16.10.2017 so please help me guys choose the best thing.

It depends a bit on what software you are going to be running? Single threaded or multi-threaded. And if multi-threaded, then can the software full use 6 threads, or only 4?
They are all good, new model, CPUs. I don't think you'll notice a big difference in typical use.
