Accuracy Of i5-8250U Benchmarks

When comparing the new 8th gen 15W Intel Core i5-8250U to the previous gen 45W i5-7300HQ, the former has a higher benchmark rating.

Are these ratings truly accurate? The 8th gen chip has a lower clock speed, a lower TDP, but more threads.

The numbers look accurate. The new CPU is faster.
The 8250 has hyperthreading which helps. It also isn't always limited to 15W. It can go to 25W. Still I agree that the result is a little surprising.
