  • Pentium Dual-Core E5400 2.70 GHz compatibility

    So, I am buying a treat to myself this christmas: A a VGA ZOTAC GeForce GTX 650 1GB DDR5 128 bits PCI-e.

What I want to know is if this videocard will work alright in my computer or if I am about to throw money away.

    My current videocard is a GeForce 8400 GS pci-e 2.0 1GB DDR2.

Thanks for the help in advance.

They are both PCI-E cards. So that is good.

If you don't have a large case check the space required (length and width).

Also check the wattage on the power supply.

Note also that there is 2 versions of the GTX 650. The GTX 650 and the GTX 650 ti.
The Ti version is a better performing card.

Compatibility doesn't really have anything to do with the CPU model.

I see. I was worried about that. Thanks a lot.
