What system manufacturers have the best reliability? I am interested in performance but not at the expense of reliability. Thoughts?

In terms of customer satisfaction, Apple wins most surveys. I tend to think this is because many Apple users really aren't a very demanding bunch of people (they often blame themselves when something goes wrong).
For laptops MSI, Microsoft & Alienware rank well. For Desktops ASUS & Cyberpower.
But in the end most of these machines are built from similar components (same CPUs, same RAM, same hard drives....). So the difference isn't dramatic.
