We went data mining on our 2 million benchmark results from over the last 13 years and came up with this cool looking graph below, showing the versions of Windows is use each year.
Win10 has had the strongest take up of any Windows release. Vista and XP are effectively dead at this point. Windows 8 (with 3%) is also very near death. Win7 lives on with ~10% of the market.
The graph combines 32bit and 64bit versions of each operating system. The small yellow patch top left is Windows Server 2003. The small blue patch bottom left is Windows Server 2000. Newer versions of Windows Server make up too small a percentage to graph.
