  • Reporting Missing Prices in Benchmark Charts

Overview: The pricing is updated automatically via scripts once a day when the charts are updated as well. The scripts query the API provided by NewEgg and Amazon to obtain current pricing, as it would be inefficient for someone to manually update the charts everyday and check for new prices for all of our videocards, CPUs and hard drives.

We are limited on the amount of individual queries we can send and with the amount of components in our database we instead send a general search string (e.g. "GeForce GTX 6XX") for particular series to the API and have to filter through results to match up with existing parts in our database. With the more specific search, this should in effect allow us to narrow the results better. However, as side effect, we may possibly miss prices for some components that may not matched by one of our general queries.

If you suspect that a price is missing for a component and it is available on Amazon or Newegg, you can reply to this post. Please keep all missing price reports in this thread.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We updated the query to our affiliates and the GeForce RTX line should be picked up in our pricing query now.
