why is intel core i7 slower then i5

hi,
i´m not so into good machines. just for normal work.
but we have two asus. ASUS ZenBook 14 UX433FN (90NB0JQ2-M04820) 35,5 cm (14 Zoll, FHD, WV) Ultrabook (Intel Core i7-8565U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce MX150 (2GB), Windows 10)

Asus Zenbook 14 UX431FA (90NB0MB3-M01080) 35, 5 cm (14 Zoll, FHD, Wv, matt) Ultrabook (Intel Core i5-8265U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Intel UHD-Grafik 620, Windows 10) Silver Blue Metal

at all tests the cpu mark is better with the i5. mostly about 8600 CPU Mark. the i7 below 8000.

is the cpu not working well or could it be the composition of the components

Your i5 looks to be slightly over performing and your i7 looks to be under performing (compared to the i7 average).

There are lots of reasons this might be the case. Thermal throttling and Windows power settings being the big ones.

i guess an antivirus software influences the test?
could the second geforce grafic card also influence the cpu test?
