AMD CPU ratings

Hello. I was looking up AMD cpu's and the AMD 5 Rysen 5 3600x is only a little slower that the 3700x. There is a $100 difference between the two. Is there any advantage to the 3700x?

If you are going to be using software that will take advantage of the extra cores then it might be worth it.

thanks for the reply. I only use office apps,browser and a media player. I do not think anything in those apps take advantage of 8 cores.I may just get the 2600 and see how it goes.
