LS,
I am having a hard time getting ECC memory to report the proper totalwidth as of late.
When using in dmidecode on linux or wmic on windows server 2019 both of my 2 recent attempts with
4 x Kingston KSM26ED8/16ME (64gb total) tried on a ASrock x570 creator with latest bios and ecc enabled
and
4 x Cruicial CT16G4WFD8266 (64gb total) tried on a Biostar x570 GTA latest bios and ecc enabled
always report a totalwidth of 124 rather than 144
The CPU for both setups used was AMD Ryzen 9 3950x (supports ECC although not advertised as such)
The AMD x570 / AM4 support ECC and ECC error reporting
Is there anything I am doing wrong?
I am really looking for having memory reports show the correct totalwidth
Hope this community can shed some light on this.
Kind regards
