  • Lookup search engine tool for cpu benchmarks?

    Hi

I'm browsing the laptop market but I find it impossible to gauge what the performance is of any particular cpu. There are so many ranges and generations ...
Currently I have to copy the cpu model and paste it into https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php and then click several times through the list to find the individual entry's passmark readings. This turns into a PITA when doing it for lots of cpus.
I'd be great if there was a benchmark search engine that I could addd to Firefox etc. to just right-click the cpu model, but I can't find anything.

    Is there such a thing?

There is no browser plug-in sorry.
Not sure how useful it would be, as generally the laptop research phase only lasts for a few hours. Doesn't seem like something people would use on a daily basis.

If CPU performance was the critical factor in your laptop decision, then a reverse search might work better. Start with this list of Laptop CPUs.
    https://www.cpubenchmark.net/laptop.html
and then search for a vendor that uses the CPU you want.

Thanks for that, it's seems a lot longer than a few hours!
I've decided on the laptop model but of course it comes with many variants, hence a search tool would be useful.

I'm wondering if it's possible to customise a search lookup to always append certain search words in order to land at, say https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php...Hz&id=2220.
Searching from https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php always involves multiple clicks to get there. If I do a google search for [cpu] +passmark then it's usually the first result., so that's a bit quicker.

On the CPU List page, if you click on the CPU Name it will take you to the chart view relative to where it is located, but if you click on the the Price or CPU value field for that CPU it will take you to the CPU details page. But for laptop CPUs, we don't usually have a price (as it is typically sold within a complete system), so it may take a couple extra clicks to arrive at the CPU details page.
