Hello everyone i hope you're having a blessed day.
This is my current setup : core i5 2400 / 8gb ddr3 / Amd Rx 580 8gb.
I am gaming with this setup and i am not having much of a problem except for some AAA titles that use a lot of Cpu horse power at which occasion my i5 2400 shows its age and gets maxed out at 100% usage whereas my RX 580 has still a lot of headroom that is not utilized. I noticed that the most when i played Shadow of the tomb raider as well as Detroit became human.
I was thinking it is time to upgrade my old i5 2400 and just get away from this old 1155 socket for good.
As for the upgrade i am contemplating getting a Ryzen 5 1600AF / 8GB 3200MHZ DDR4 / Asus Prime B450m -K motherboard.
My question is will i notice that much of a boost in fps if my only concern is gaming ? if not is it worth it to just get the upgrade anyway just to benefit from technology like USB 3.1 and NVME support ?
ALL suggestions are highly appreciated.
