  • How are average cpu benchmarks calculated?

    As opposed to a single system score, how is the average benchmark displayed on the front page calculated? Is it a simple average of all previous results for each processor?

    All available CPU cores are used (except for the single threaded test).

      So sorry if I'm being dense, but I have read that post before and the question there seems to be - given the various performance scores for a system, how can I calculate the benchmark of that system?

      What I'm asking is: given the various benchmark scores that a processor has scored, how is the benchmark for that processor calculated?

        Nearly all data in the charts comes from user submissions from our PerformanceTest software. The results are an average of all submissions for the particular CPU. For the main charts, only non-overclocked submissions are included in the average. We have a separate chart for overclocked CPUs.
