GTX 750 Ti or GT 730 (for a PCIe 2.x video card slot)

I have a motherboard with a PCIe 2.x video card slot. Should I get one of the better available PCIe 2.0 cards (such as the GT730) or would I a see a substantial improvement with a card designed for the PCIe 3.0 like the GTX 750Ti?

I'm replacing a Radeon HD 6670 with a defective fan that is prone to overheating.

Get the best card you can justify, regardless of PCIe 2/3.

The PCIe 3 cards will work in 2.0 slots, and if you ever upgrade the motherboard, then you can keep the video card.
