  • PC Upgrade

Well I currently own this pc:

CPU: AMD PHENOM II X6 1055T
MOTHERBOARD: Asus Something, not a bad motherboard
    RAM: 8GB 1333 MHZ
    GPU: Asus EAH6850 1GB GDDR5
HDD: COMPLETE SHIT WITH 7 YEARS OLD OR EVEN MORE

AVG FPS on CSGO map: 140-180 FPS..

AND IM PLANING TO UPGRADE TO:

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) 6MB BOX
    MOTHERBOARD: Msi H97 Gaming 3 Intel H97 SK1150
RAM: 8GB 1333 MHZ (keeping my old ones)
    GPU: Asus EAH6850 1GB GDDR5 (keeping it)
SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 2.5 SATA III 120GB

What I want to know is if this UPGRADE will give me MORE FPS and if its WORTH IT to upgrade!

NOTE: I only play csgo, and csgo is a heavy processor game..seems that amd sucks for csgo and cant handle the game as much as i5 does

    THANKS!

DIFERENCE BETWEEN MY CURRENT CPU AND THE I5 4690:

Performance will surely be better, but ff you are already getting 180 FPS, are you even going to notice the CPU upgrade?

What is the refresh rate of your monitor? Probably only 60Hz I am guessing.

You'll notice the SSD however. Load times, boot times and general responsiveness will be much better. It won't help the frame rates much however.
