Intel Xeon E5-1680 v2 @ 3.00GHz - 1 sample only. How accurate is it?

This benchmark score has only 1 sample. Could it be all wrong?
I'm about to buy a mac pro and hesitate whether to go for the 6-core Xeon E5-1650v2 or the above-mentioned model. The difference in benchmark score is substantial and I wonder whether it has something to with an inaccurate score on the E5-1680

The single threaded results are pretty close, which is to be expected as they have the same turbo speed.

But the 16 logical cores of the E5-1680V2 significantly outpace the E5-1650v2's 12 cores.

Compared to the 12-core version it seems as if the difference between the 8- and 12-core model is quite small. Is that also to be expected? Thanks for the help.
