One of the claimed advantages to having a mac is the fact that all hardware is created by Apple so you don't get conflicting hardware because it's all made to run with each other. Are there any PC companies that are like this?

Apple doesn't really make its own hardware. CPUs are from Intel, assembled by companies like Foxcon with other parts from Samsung, etc..
Lots of PC companies do similar,
Dell, HP, Acer, Lenovo, ASUS, etc...
The real difference is that Apple aim their products high mostly at high end customers and charge more money. Apple also only have a relatively small range of hardware, reducing the scope for problems. The PC companies largely seem more interested in making cheap commodity computers and turning them over quickly. But if you look around there are some quality PCs available.
