Few questions about the performance test

I have run the benchmark test and received a results, which I cannot understand. could you please explain me the meaning of the following tests for CPU:
Integer Math
Floating Point Math
Prime Numbers
SSE
Compression
Encryption
Physics
String Sorting

Also, is there a way to optimise the CPU in order to get a better performance and high benchmark results ?
