  • Low Memory Mark score in PerformanceTest. Is my RAM just crap?

Memory Mark scores (in Win 10, 8.1 and 7 are about the same)

My 3 year old rig is starting to show its age a little so lately I've been looking for ways to squeeze out more performance. I feel my RAM (Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9) should be on par with the other 8GB models listed on the screenshot. It's important to note its running at 1333MHz and not 1600 due to it shutting down my system after a few minutes.

Is my RAM running as it should or is there a problem here, maybe a mobo problem (ASRock 880gm-le fx). What do you guys think?

Memory controllers in newer machines are in the CPU. So the CPU plays a significant part of getting the most performance from your RAM.

If you compare the graphs on this page then you'll see that the Intel CPUs push the RAM much harder than the current AMD CPUs.

Ahh, that makes sense. Seems my RAM is performing as it should. Thanks for the answer!
