CAD vs. GAME

Hi Gents.

Wonder where to put my money. Working with Autodesk Inventor & Siemens NX and need a new graphic card.

I don't do rendering except normally coloring small assemblies parts to separate in view.

Can I use the GeForce with 980 Ti or must I have a Quadro card?

Working station: Siemens Fujitsu Celsius M420 with i7- 3770 @3.4 Ghz and 32 GB memory. Win7 64

I can figure out from all the benchmark test what to choose.

Any (good) advice & help appreciated.

I've never used either of these packages. So if this is the only software you use, the best thing would be to get feedback from the software vendors and other users of those packages.

As a general rule however, the consumer cards are better value for money than the workstation cards.
