  • World's fastest SSD? Samsung 850 EVO 500GB... Just needs tweaked!

    Hey there,
I have a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB installed in my Lenovo M93p,not for an OS drive though...

But I discovered a tweak today that not only shocked me, but got me thinking about SSD technology in the future...

Here it is: Samsung 850 EVO SSD 500GB, normally sits at about a nice easy 4270 mark:
But today I tweaked it and safely got 31531 mark out of it, you read that right!
Thirty One thousand, Five hundred Thirty One!!!

Don't believe me? That is OK, you are allowed to doubt me. I don't care... But pictures don't lie! But I doubted myself too, so I ran the good old BMD Disk speed test, and these are the results:

    They speak for themselves.

Want to know how I created the world's fastest SSD? (And no, it was not via Photoshop... :P)

    Cheers,
    Brennan

It's just a RAM cache. Samsung provide the "RAPID" disk caching software with some of their drives. Some may describe is a benchmark cheating software.

    See this post for details.
