  • Real-World Difference Between DDR4 3200MHz and DDR4 3600MHz for Gaming

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been upgrading my setup recently, and I’m curious about the speed of RAM. Specifically, I’m wondering if upgrading from DDR4 3200MHz to 3600MHz would provide any noticeable real-world performance boost for gaming, or is it more beneficial for tasks like video editing or benchmarks only? I mostly play FPS and open-world games on a Ryzen 5 5600X with an RTX 3060 Ti. Would love to hear your thoughts or personal experiences.

Upgrading from DDR4 3200MHz to 3600MHz will likely yield modest performance gains in certain games, particularly FPS and open-world titles that are CPU-intensive and sensitive to memory speed. However, the difference isn't drastic, and it's not a "must-have" upgrade unless you're optimizing for every last bit of performance. If you do not have SSD, then it may be better to invest in upgrading the drive instead.
