Way below average score in Floating Point Math and Single Thread tests in CPU Mark.

    Way below average score in Floating Point Math and Single Thread tests in CPU Mark.

    I've ran the full benchmark, and while my CPU (Ryzen 7 5700x) falls in the 75th percentile of all of the same models tested, compared to the average my Floating Point Math test score is 26.9% lower and my Single Thread performance score is 7.8% lower. I'm pretty sure this is not a hardware problem, as all the other tests within CPU Mark scored higher than the average, some by more than 10%. I should mention that I've applied an overclock to my chip using advanced AMD Precision Boost Overdrive. But this is weird, only those two tests scored way lower than they should've. Reading online, people suggest that could be a software-related issue, but I'm hoping to find more help here.

    What were the actual benchmark scores (or just do a screen shot)?
    What were they without the overclock?
    What was the CPU temperatures like?

ID:	59576These were the results with the overclock. Without overclock, they were overall lower, but Floating Point and Single Thread were still noticeably lower than average. Temps hit a max of 81° celsius

        CPUMark average for this CPU was 26,662. Your score was 26,245. So whatever is wrong, it isn't too dramatic.

        But yes, floating point results are low.

        What RAM are you running and what are the current clock speeds and timings in BIOS? Is it in dual channel mode? Are you using XMP?

        Would also be good to see the non-overclocked results for comparison.

          Sorry for the late reply I've been away from home. Yes, while it is close to the average points for the same model I was worried about floating point, that could indicate something wrong. I'm using DDR4 GSKill Ripjaws 16GB (8x2) 3200MHz, overclocked to 3600MHz without using XMP.

            What were the results like without the CPU overclock but with XMP (the actual numbers)?
            Using XMP makes sense, rather than attempting all manual settings.

              they were lower by a fair amount and floating point was proportionally lower as well but less
