Hi,
I used passmark a lot over the last years, and submitted quite some CPU benchmarks.
Today I registered to ask below question.
I reported new CPUmark 102,411 for 8-WAY Intel Xeon E7-8890 v4 CPU server:
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php...840&cpuCount=8
(it is now rank 65 on https://www.cpubenchmark.net/multi_cpu.html, and top 8-WAY entry)
"Last Price Change: $57,392.00 USD Total for 8 CPUs (2016-04-01)" looks impressive, but is a bit outdated.
I bought the 8 CPUs for my server used on ebay.de for £22,99/pc, so £184 in total.
There are still plenty available: https://www.ebay.de/itm/277263745618
Is it possible to get a new price point for the 8-WAY entry?
If so, what is needed?
It would change CPUmark/$Price: 1.78 (for $57,392 USD total price) to 412.9 (for $248 USD in total).
Regards,
Hermann,
