Was just noticing my KS cpu isn't listed in the common comparison list, is this because it's considered overclocked? If so wouldn't an x3d chip fit in that category? Also my 14900k not the ks is benching at over 61000 without an OC yet you have it at 58 on your list, and I haven't seen many if any comparisons where the 7900x3d out scores the 14900k in anything.

Benckmark page for the Intel Core i9-14900KS is here.
It isn't on the common CPU page because it isn't a common CPU.
At the moment a CPU needs around 11,000 benchmark samples to make it into the list of common CPUs.
The 14900KS has around 1600. So not super rare. But not common either.
The plain "K" version has 13,000 samples. So around 8x more common. -
Thank you sir for that info, I still believe the i9 14900k is getting a poor number in the comparisons though, I understand the bin situation but for mine to be over 3000 points higher at stock must be a fluke or I got a super duper chipComment

Your ~61,000 CPUMark result is exactly what is should be (for a well configured system)
The problem is that many people haven't got a well configured system. Instead they have poor cooling, slow RAM, single channel RAM, no XMP, BIOS bugs, too much bloatware installed, etc...
This long tail of misery lowers the overall average. This is the case for nearly all CPUs, not just the 14900K. So it makes your perfectly normal CPU, look special 😊

Ok I got it, I guess I had the idea that all these tests were done independently on gear and their highest benchmark was used as a base at stock settings, but that would be a very one sided way to do it, thanks for the info.Comment
