Extremly low diskmark

I have a computer that is working very slow, ran your test and got a very low disk mark result:

CPU AMD athlon 3500+ 449
2D Graphics VIA/SG3 Deltachrome IGP 268
Memory Mark 447 mb ram 340
Disk Mark ST340810A 30
3D Graphics VIA/SG3 Deltachrome IGP 56

TOT 233

Any idea what the reason could be?

The ST340810A is a slow drive by todays standards (40MB, 5400RPM). But there is probalby something else at play as well. Maybe bad defagmentation, or maybe some other tasking running in the background.

I agree - as a comparison, my WD Raptor (10,000rpm) scored 604
