Prime Numbers benchmark gives low result on AMD 4600+ O/C

ASUS M2NPV-VM AMDx2 4600+ (65W) OCed to 2.6Ghz
XP PRO-S2
4 GB Corsair 4-4-4-12
WD 320GB SATA HD
BFG Nvidia GEFORCE 8600 GT OC 256MB DDR3

Running at 1280x1024 32 bit color

CPU SCORES:
Integer Math: 173.0
FLOP Math: 940.0
SSE/3DNow!: 5611.00
Compression: 8645.0
Encryption: 44.0
Image Rotation: 1470.0
String Sorting: 3917.0
Find Prime Numbers: 38.0 ?????????

All these scores are comparable or way above average for a similar setup..except Prime Numbers! S/B at least 300.0.

Any ideas? Anyone....Bueller.......Bueller?????

Yes, 38 is low for the Prime number test.
The result should be around 240 before overclocking for this CPU.

Did you try running the test a few times to repeat the result. Maybe some background task activated itself at just the wrong time, while the test was running?

Are you using PerformanceTest V6.1?

Can you try,

1) Using Advanced Multiprocess test with just the Prime number option on for a 20sec run. You should get a result like,
Primes Found: 189880, Largest Prime: 2599999

2) Try adjusting the number of processes from the Edit / Preferences window to 4 or 8, to see if this makes a significant difference.

3) Try repeating the test without the CPU over clocked. Maybe you have broken something, or the CPU overheats on this test and auto-throttles down.
