  • Baseline test hardware

Is there anything stored with the baselines which indicates what hardware and operating systems were used? It would be interesting to know what was achieving high or low scores.

The baseline selection screen does show the CPU type and speed, operating system, video color depth, amount of RAM, and the size of the C drive and selecting View/Device Info gives some additional information about some of the hardware, but it would be useful to know the graphics card clock speeds, RAM timings and clock rate, disk controller and drives, motherboard and chipset, FSB, PCI/e clock, voltages, etc.

Low level details like the graphics card clock speed are not collected nor recorded. (In fact some of this low level information is nearly impossible to collect in a reliable, automatic fashion that is compatible with all hardware and all versions of Windows).

There is a space in the baseline files for comment. So some users might have manually filled out some additional details in that field.

How does one view the comments, if any?

They appear in the bottom section of the Baseline information window (in the box called Baseline Notes). Most people don't add comments however. It is an under used feature.
