  • 533 from a Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+???

    Here are my specs:
AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 5000+
400 GB HD at 7200 RPM
    3 GB DDR2 Memory at 667 MHz
    Windows Vista 32 bit
    Nividia GeForce 7600GT 512 mb PCI-Express

Why are my scores so low?

Id attach an image but I dont know how.

Only thing I can think of is im running the stock 300W PSU when im suppose to have atleast 350W for my video card. But surely that cant effect my rating 500 points.

I bet your monitor is running at a 60Hz refresh rate and the frame rate has be set to be no higher than the monitor refresh rate. (this can prevent image flicker and tearing, especially on old cards with CRTs).

is there anyway to change my refresh rate?
I tried and when I go to change it, the system only gives me the 60Hz option.

But other than that why such a low overall score?

I changed my resolution to 800x600. I then was able to change the refresh rate to 75Hz.

Graphics did go up I think but overall went way down. Lowest score ive seen yet... Previous low was 528

I bought a eVGA GeForce 8600GTS and installed it. I changed the graphics rate to max instead of the fresh rate thing. My score still seems unreaosnably low but much better.

My CPU mark looks really good... Comparing to this
              http://www.cpubenchmark.net/common_cpus.html

I dont understand why the other scores suck so bad.
My DVD read/write rate is damn fast. I can copy a 10 gig DVD and burn it to a new DVD start to finish in roughly 30 minutes.
