Vista rating vs XP vastly different - same PC

I just installed Performance Test 6.1.1013 and after recently upgrading my Windows XP PC to Vista Business (upgrading?:-/) my system rating dropped from around 600 to around 300.

Nothing on the hardware has changed and the system seems to be performing well from a user perspective. I did have to update drivers for various hardware components and it's a pretty decent PC (Dell C521, dual core AMD Athlon, 4G RAM, etc...).

Any insights appreciated.

You need to look at the individual results to determine which result(s) dropped. For example the 2D results are expected to drop in Vista becuse of the extra Vista eye candy.
