Maybe you are confusing the overall PassMark rating: 639, with the CPU Mark: 1240?

      ahh

Well I hope so, cause it seemed like I was way off lol. So what is the avg cpu mark for those computers, or where do u look to get that info, or what is mine compared to the 1240 mark? Does it seem slower to you or normal?

If you are just interested in CPU performance you can see a graph of scores here.

        Your result seems about normal.

          yeah

I was just wondering because its brand new, it is an ACER but good components inside I had hoped and heard decent things about them yet multitasking sucks big butt. If I run winrar then try to open firefox its slow to open, or do any multitasking it suffers, yet cpu usage is always real low, no spikes nothing 100 percent, always 2 to 12 percent cpu usage, yet slow multitasking, just dont know why.

It is probably the disk that is the bottle neck, not the CPU. If you ask a disk drive to do many things as once, it thrashes. All it's time is spent moving the R/W head, and none of the time actually reading data.

Wait 6 months (as technology is moving quick) and put a solid state hard drive in the machine.

Rich, Maybe you are confusing your CPU Mark figure (1201.1) and the overall system result, the PassMark rating, 731?
