PassMark high end benchmark question

Hi all,

I've seen the PassMark cpu benchmark for high-end cpu's (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html

Can anyone tell me how come the Xeon 5472 to be first, and the Xeon 5482 only to be 13th? Their specifications are the same, except that the freq of 5482 is higher (3.2 GHz compared to 3.0 GHz). Possibly the environment was so different? It's a huge difference after all.
Need some explanation

You missed an important detail on the graph, the number of CPUs.
The X5472 was a dual CPU system.
The X5482 was a single CPU system.

Twice the CPUs mean almost twice the score on the CPU benchmark.

Its funny cause the q9450 says like 3600 on that chart... yet my brand new one (not oc'd or anything) pulled a 4240 or something to that effect. Big difference, no?

The CPU test gets better results on 64bit systems. But most of the results in the chart are from 32bit systems. See this old post comparing 64bit and 32bit CPUs for details.
