BEST PROCESSOR for Voice Recognition

all i want my system for is Voice Recognition and input to word.

Is a dual better then a quad

which is better an E8500 of a Quad Q6600

any suggestions?

The Voice Recognition software probably can't use multiple cores and even if it did, it is unlikely to use 4 at the same time. So I would get the newer dual core E8500 which will be faster for single and dual threaded applications.
