  • PerformanceTest 7 build 1000 64 bit

    Several bugs I have found.

When downloading baseline files and checking the box "select baselines to display" no system info is given for the newly downloaded baseline. A work around is to go to compare results then click OK.

When looking at baseline info in the download browser some baselines show the OS as being Vista, some show Vista 32 bit and some show Vista 64 bit. I would think all Vista baselines should show 32 or 64 bit. The baseline I uploaded only shows Vista and not Vista 64 bit using PerformanceTest 7 64 bit RTM build 1000. I also see the amount of system memory displayed is incorrect on many systems. I'm running 8 gigs but the info given in the download browser shows I have 4094 megs. Example base line
    Generic Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 3005 BL2038

I'm running a Q6600 @ 3 ghz, 9 x 333/1333. The bus speed is always shown as being 266/1066 though the CPU frequency is shown correctly. Intermittently when launched PT picks up the multiplier as being 8 instead of 9. When this happens the CPU frequency is shown incorrectly. Keep in mind power management is set so the CPU is always running at full speed. This is confirmed by using CPUz.

    My system specs
    Intel Q6600 @ 3 Ghz 1333 bus
    8 Gigs DDR2 PC6400 4 2 gig modules
    MSI P35 Neo2-FR, bios 1.10
    8800 GT ,driver 181.20
    Onboard Realtek 888 sound
2 320 gig SATA hard drives
    2 IDE DVD RW drives
    1 3.5 Floppy drive
    PerformanceTest 7 64 bit build 1000
Vista Ultimate 64 bit sp1 all critical updates

Oh and thanks for the great program! Well worth the upgrade price.

    Thanks for the feedback.

The select for display not showing system info and the displaying of 32/64 bit OS problems have been isolated and will be fixed for the next minor patch release.

The incorrect ram display was a problem with the server side upload script. This has been fixed, unfortunately the baseline database still has the bad data in it. Baselines uploaded in the future should display the correct ram in the search but any older ones may still be messed up (as you've noted the baseline files themselves are still correct once downloaded).

We'll also have a look into your CPU info problem, however it's probably not as quick a fix as the other stuff. If possible, could you try out the BurnInTest trial and tell us if you get the same problems there? If it does have the same problems could you run PT in DEBUGMODE and send us the log file. Thanks.

I gave Burnintest a shot and it always shows the wrong CPU speed. I could not get PT to display the wrong multiplier and CPU speed. Seems like it only happens when I'm not looking for it. Both show the wrong bus speed of 266.
      Screen shot.
