  • cpu multi and clock speed not read right

Hi, just wondering about my cpu score.....In the system info my multiplier and my clock speed does not read right.....

    q9300@3.4560 with a multi of x7.5.....

here is what it is showing......2 separate tests.....

and here is my overall test with the cpu scores....they look alot slower when compared to other q9300's......Any idea why this may be happening.....

The average Q9300 CPU mark score is 3449. Your score was 4266. So i am not sure why you think you result is a lot slower. In fact it is significantly faster. And it exactly matches the average overclocked score for a Q9300.

We'll check on the display of the multiplier. As you are correct, the Q9300 should be locked to x7.5

For these screenshots, have you lowered the CPU multiplier and overclocked the the FSB ?
      e.g. 7x450 = 3150MHz and 7x470=3290MHz?

Or what have you changed from the stock settings (7.5x333.33 = 2500MHz).

      Thanks.

I don't think PerformanceTest is well enought optimized yet.For example Intel T3200 has a cpu score 1057 and Intel T7250 slighty slower at 1056,but t7250 has double of L2 cache and higher FSB , so...

Although there are some differences, these two CPUs are very similar. Keep in mind that the charts are made up by user submissions and there will be differences between peoples systems that will affect the scores obtained. Things like the O/S (XP/Vista, 32-64bit), the motherboard and how much other background tasks the user has installed can sway the rating.

Overall these factors tend to average themselves out when there are many samples but in the case of CPU types that are already close together they can switch the order around a bit.

Ender79. For the future, your post is off topic for this thread about CPU multiplers and you should have probalby started a new thread.
